Pan Sutong JP was born in the year 1963 in Shaoguan, Guangdong, China. In 1976 when he was 13 years old, he emigrated to the United States and then relocated to Hong Kong at age 21 to pursue his dreams. On getting to Hong Kong, he found himself in the business industry and started trading electronics brands like Panasonic.
Professional Life: Business Career
Sutong founded Matsunichi Colour Display Monitor Company Ltd. in 1993. This was a company that was majorly concerned with the manufacturing of home appliances.
In 2002, he acquired Hong Kong company Emperor Technology Venture Ltd. and changed its name to Matsunichi Communication Holdings Ltd. On 3 September 2008, this company was renamed once again to Goldin Properties Holdings Ltd. In late 2008, he purchased another Hong Kong-based company, Fortuna International Holdings Ltd, and changed its name to Goldin Financial Holdings Limited. He subsequently privatized Goldin Properties Holdings Ltd through a cash offer with the obligatory acquisition of all shares finalized on 17 August 2017, the company’s listing shares were withdrawn from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on the 18th of August 2017.
