The American heir and businessman, Ray Lee Hunt, was born in the United States in the year 1943. His father was the late H. L. Hunt who founded the popular and successful American oil and nature gas refiner and distributor called Hunt Oil Co. He is the brother of Helen LaKelly Hunt, June Hunt, and Swanee Hunt.

After the passing of his father in 1974, Ray Hunt and his three sisters inherited his father’s company, Hunt Oil Co., and what was left of the General American Oil Company.
