His father was the Greek Shipping tycoon John Spyridon Latsis (also known as Yiannis Latsis), who passed away back in 2003. He was born in Greece on the 1st of January 1946, as one of the three children of Erietta Tsoukala and John Latsis. His father was a wealthy businessman who had made wealth as a shipping tycoon.
Spiros Latsis attended the London School of Economics and graduated from the reputed institution with a bachelor’s degree in Economics in the year 1968. By the year 1970 he had completed a master’s degree in logic and scientific method.
