After completing his studies, Todd Wagner became Texas’s licensed CPA and later started having a legal career with firms in the United States including the likes of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and Hopkins & Sutter.

In 1995, he joined hands with Mark Cuban and they started AudioNet which they used to broadcast live sports events and radio stations on the internet. He became the company’s chief executive officer and the business services of the company were soon expanded to reach a wide range of consumers. AudioNet was renamed in 1998 and was also taken public. A year later, they sold the company to Yahoo! for $5.7 billion, and both men became billionaires after this deal.
