His father was the Greek Shipping tycoon John Spyridon Latsis (also known as Yiannis Latsis), who passed away back in 2003. He was born in Greece on the 1st of January 1946, as one of the three children of Erietta Tsoukala and John Latsis. His father was a wealthy businessman who had made wealth as a shipping tycoon.
